So, you’ve worked with the experts at Krillan and set up your low-hassle, stress-free online store or fundraising campaign but now what? It’s time to spread the word about your store or campaign so that everybody you know can show their support and can look absolutely awesome. As with most things in life, the more effort that you put in to promoting your campaign, the more successful it will be. The experts at Krillan have come up with some great ideas to help you get started.
Use Social Media
With all of the recent technological advances over the past decade, more and more people are using technology to stay connected. Using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and other popular sites to promote your campaign is an easy and effective way to spread the word. Be sure to include pictures and the link to your personalized campaign website so that people can easily see exactly what is being offered. You can also utilize our social sharing buttons and encourage your group members, friends, and family to do the same.
Use Local Media Sources
Contact local newspapers, radio stations, and television stations. Inform them that you have an event coming up and that you’d really benefit from having coverage before, during, and after. Many community media sources are happy to share a short blurb and will often do what they can to get involved and help out.
Community Board
Share your information by putting it on flyers and sharing them on community boards around town.
Send out a mass email to your friends, family, and co-workers. Throughout your campaign, include a link to your campaign website in your email signature so everybody is able to easily check it out. Be sure to send occasional updates to keep your supporters involved and interested.
Word of Mouth
This is possibly the easiest – and most easily overlooked – method of sharing about your campaign. Tell everybody you know about your event, and ask them to pass it on to everybody they know as well.
Have a Friendly Competition
Provide incentives for group members to help motivate them to promote the campaign. We can add a space for customers to include the name of who told them about the campaign, so you can keep track of who is doing the most promoting.
These are just a few of the ideas that our experts came up with based on our knowledge and experiences. Now we’ll turn it over to you. What are some ways that you have promoted fundraising events? What worked and what didn’t? Share your ideas and advice for others by leaving us a comment.
