At Krillan, we’re experts at using a variety of embroidery techniques to make an otherwise ordinary piece of clothing stand out. We use only high-tech devices and advanced technological software to create the best possible embroidery products in the business. In order to use this software, however, an image must first be digitized. What the heck is embroidery digitizing, you ask? Read on to find out…

So…what exactly is digitizing?

Without getting too technical and complicated, digitizing is the process of converting a file into a digital form that is able to be used by our embroidery machines. Our high-tech embroidery machines then use this digitized file to create a stitch pattern to follow in order to ensure that the finished product will look outstanding.

Can any file be digitized?

Unfortunately, not every file can be digitized. Some logos or designs that look great on paper are too complex for even the best digitizing software and embroidery machines to handle. With a few small changes, however, the experts at Krillan can make most designs compatible with our fancy machines.

Can I digitize files on my own?

Sure – as long as you already know how or have plenty of time and money! Properly digitizing a file requires a lot of skill and often takes ample time to perfect. In addition, some software packages (like the one we use from Wilcom, for example) retails at $15,000.00. Yikes!

You are more than welcome to bring in files that have already been digitized, or just let the experts at Krillan do it for you. We offer free digitizing on all orders of 32 pieces or more or would be happy to provide our digitizing services to you for a small fee. Plus, we’re really, really good at it.

Regardless of how you get your files digitized and prepared for embroidery, rest assured knowing that your end product will look as good you imagined (or, quite possibly, even better). Contact us today to get your embroidery project started!
